Summary

This kick-off event of the virtual panel discussion series “Between the Layers” will feature a conversation with industry experts from across the value chain about materials and innovations in Additive Manufacturing (AM) for Aerospace & Defense (AeroDef) applications. We will discuss topics like the following:

  • Current AM materials & processes being used in AeroDef
  • Challenges such as the need for repeatability, traceability, inspect-ability, material property allowable data, and qualification/certification
  • Specific needs for the AeroDef market, e.g. high performance, digital twin/digital thread, connectivity, and cybersecurity
  • Future directions for high-performance AM materials & processes.

The event will also offer time to ask your questions and join the discussion.

Join this event if you work with high-performance AM materials & processes, if you are part of the AeroDef value chain, or if you want to learn more about these areas!
