First Additive Manufacturing Certification by Stratasys and NOCTI

Stratasys partners with the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute (NOCTI) to introduce a High-Standard FDM Process Certification.

The global 3D printing market in terms of revenue was estimated at USD 15 billion in 2023 and is expected to reach USD 34.5 billion by 2028 with a CAGR of 18.1%. This makes it an appealing market for young professionals, although certifications may be necessary.

Specialized Certifications in Additive Manufacturing

The partnership between Stratasys and NOCTI signifies a pivotal moment for students and professionals looking to embark on careers in additive manufacturing.

NOCTI certification guarantees that students, whether traditional or non-traditional, acquire industry-endorsed skills. It equips them with the knowledge and proficiency needed to excel in this rapidly evolving field.

Additionally, schools that achieve FDM certification can more easily apply for funding opportunities. This helps them to expand their offerings of additive manufacturing courses, thereby creating even more learning opportunities for students.

As part of this partnership, NOCTI is introducing a general FDM certification exam. It evaluates competencies and skills related to materials, design and fabrication, software processing, and post-processing.
