StackTeck Systems Ltd. of Ontario, Canada, has announced a new partnership with Arburg that is focused on high-volume systems applications. As part of the arrangement, Arburg is putting a 220 U.S. ton Allrounder 570A high-performance electric injection molding machine into StackTeck’s test and integration facility. The machine is equipped for high speed and high-pressure injection suitable for demanding packaging systems.

Also, Stackteck and Matrix Technology Specialists Ltd. of Hong Kong have announced they will expand their joint-development effort based on their recent success in delivering fully automated electric molding systems in Asia. By combining Matrix’s business re-engineering expertise with StackTeck’s plastic part, mold design and manufacturing capabilities the two have developed all electric, automated work cells for closures, in mold labeling and thin-wall packaging. StackTeck reports that in 2008 its systems business in Asia Pacific grew to more than 10% of sales.
