The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) Thermoforming Division is now accepting entries for its annual parts competition. The competition showcases the latest advances in thermoforming design and application.

Parts entered into the competition will be on display during the 26th SPE Thermoforming Conference® at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas, between Sept. 24 and 26. Awards for parts will be presented at the SPE Thermoforming Awards Dinner on Sept. 25 at AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys.

Competition entrants may submit parts in several categories, including roll-fed comprised of industrial, medical, or food; heavy-gauge comprised of vacuum form, pressure form, twin sheet, and TPO; and combined, including parts made from a minimum of 40 percent recycled content, value-added assembly features, or those exhibiting innovative characteristics.

“Product innovation is a key theme in the planning of the 2018 conference,” says Steve Clark, SPE Thermoforming Parts Competition chair. “We are seeking parts that will promote the industry’s commitment to expanding the versatility of the thermoforming process to make new and exciting applications possible.”

The submission deadline is Aug. 31. Visit for more information.
