The Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE) held its 2018 regular election for its executive board in late March.

Dr. Brian Landes of DowDuPont, Inc. is the society’s new president and will serve a one-year term. Dr. Jason Lyons of Arkema, Inc. was elected to a two-year term as vice president of divisions and Dr. Scott Eastman of United Technologies Research Center will serve a three-year term as vice president of sections. Dr. Raymond Pearson of Lehigh University was elected to a three-year term as vice president of technology and education.

“Dr. Eastman’s and Dr. Pearson’s roles within the executive board will begin in early May,” according to an SPE statement. “Dr. Landes and Dr. Lyons are already members of the executive board. Dr. Landes is currently serving as vice president of technology and education. Dr. Lyons was previously appointed as vice president of divisions to fill a vacated position.”
