With manufacturing still in the recovery phase of the economic cycle, machine shops seeking to cut costs are finding a solution with Eriez® HydroFlow® Coolant Recycling Systems. A typical machine shop using one of these environmentally-friendly systems--designed to recycle any water-miscible fluid to its maximum potential--can drastically reduce fluid purchases and eliminate or significantly lower their disposal expenses.

“Through the Eriez HydroFlow Coolant Recycling System, we have seen a 50 percent reduction in fluid purchases and a decrease in disposal costs,” says Mike Schlimgen, Vice President of Nebraska Machine. These results are fairly typical, according to Ron Wendt, Eriez HydroFlow Product Manager. He says, “With all the aspects of good coolant and fluid management incorporated into a single machine, our Coolant Recycling Systems help customers improve overall productivity and add profits year after year.”

Eriez offers four different Coolant Recycling Systems which range in size from small to large. These advanced systems provide a rapid return on investment and offer low maintenance, unattended operation.

Eriez can also supply custom configurations for situations where greater flow rates or higher processing capacities are required.  “Our experts can evaluate your application and design a system tailored to your specific needs,” explains Wendt.

All Eriez Coolant Recycling Systems include an appropriately sized dirty tank and clean tank, Eriez Automatic Proportioner Mixer for coolant make up and concentration control and an oil removal device to clean coolant to less than 0.5 percent emulsified tramp oil and two to five microns of particulate matter. Choices for pure water sources, which are available with every system, include reverse osmosis systems or deionization systems. Eriez works with customers to select the ideal option based on their application requirements.
