The programme has been announced for the AMI’s Masterbatch 2015 conference, which will take place from 9-11 June 2015 at the Maritim Hotel in Cologne, Germany. The event has become well established as the regular international forum for the global masterbatch industry attracting over 150 attendees every year.

The nature of the masterbatch market is changing. Europe is facing a low-growth environment and the plastics processing industry is focussing on cost-cutting more than ever to try and hold onto margins wherever they can. However, whilst the business environment remains challenging, there are plenty of opportunities out there for the innovative, forward thinking masterbatch producer. Trends in new resin formulations, downgauging and recycling all require clever additives and pigments to maintain performance and aesthetics - which processors increasingly look to the masterbatch industry to deliver for them.

Listening to and understanding those customers’ needs will be key to AMI's 2015 Masterbatch conference programme. This year's business forum will bring together material specialists and designers from a wide array of end use industries including packaging, toys, consumer goods and the automotive industry to give delegates real insight into the trends that are going to influence the masterbatch industry in the years ahead.

The forum includes fantastic speakers such as Mr. Søren Kristiansen, Director Specialist, Materials at Lego System A/S, Mr. Terence Tan, Designer at Microsoft, Ms. Moira Cullen, Vice President, Pepsico Global Beverage Design at Pepsico, Mr. David Moore, Founder CEO, Product Design & Development Consultant for The North Face, Easton Bell Sports, SRI International and Mr. David Hilton, Design Director at Motorcity Europe.

Other presentations will look at the latest trends in pigments, additives and materials to give fresh insight into how to add value to products.  The conference will also include updates on machinery with papers from Coperion, Automatik Plastics Machinery GmbH, Kreyenborg Plant Technology and Steer Engineering Private Limited.

The event will also provide a detailed analysis of the current European masterbatch market and AMI's Research Director, Andrew Reynolds, will be presenting the role and future of the masterbatch industry.

In addition to delivering quality papers, Masterbatch 2015 also offers superb and cost-effective networking opportunities with its extensive table top exhibition area.

The event is sponsored by Steer Engineering Private Limited. The full programme can now be found on AMI's website: www.amiconferences.com
